Backermeta is a small clothing label. Nine pieces a season, cut once, in limited runs.
We started because we were tired of two things: clothes that fall apart after a season, and shops that add forty new styles a week so you never know what you actually bought.
So the catalogue stays small. Each piece is cut in a run of sixty — small enough that we can check every seam, large enough to keep the price honest. When something sells out, we do not restock it. That is the whole model.
What we use
Wool from two mills, lambskin from one tannery, and a heavy satin for the evening pieces. Nothing is a sample: what you see is the production run.
How we ship
Orders leave the warehouse within one to two business days. Shipping is free over $150, $6 within the United States, $18 tracked internationally. Returns are open for 30 days, unworn and with tags on.
