Everything is cut in centimetres. Measure a piece you already own, lay it flat, and match the numbers — the label on the hanger matters less than the tape measure.
How to measure
- Chest — button the garment, lay it flat, measure straight across from armpit to armpit, then double it.
- Waist — measure across the narrowest point of the waistband and double it.
- Length — from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the hem.
- Sleeve — from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Hip — across the widest point, about 20 cm below the waist, doubled.

Between two sizes?
Take the larger size for outerwear — a coat is meant to close over a knit. Take the smaller size for knitwear, which relaxes about half a size after the first wear. If you are still unsure, email hello@backermeta.top with your measurements and we will tell you which to order.
